The goals of this project is to examine the effectiveness of remote sensing
technology as a crop management tool. Remote sensing imagery was collected on
two central Illinois fields. Ground data was collected in the fields on or near
the flight dates. In addition to looking at how remote sensing can be used to
guide crop scouting, this project is analyzing the data from the 2000 and 2001
growing seasons to see how well remote sensing can explain field conditions and
the final yield map.
Currently, data from the 2001 season are being processed.
